Makeda is the first typeface that covers Latin, Hebrew and Amharic (Ethiopic). The three scripts were designed simultaneously in order to allow mutual influences. The design efforts were put into harmonising the scripts into one coherent family, while preserving their basic traditional structure. A work of gentle balances and fascinating research assisted in the design of Makeda typeface. The story of Makeda, the Ethiopian Queen (also known as the Queen of Sheba) is a story of a powerful and mysterious woman, traveling to meet King Solomon in a history changing act.
